On November 13, a series of coordinated attacks were carried out in Paris by ISIS. These were the deadliest attacks in France since World War II and shook the world, highlighting the danger of ISIS and the vulnerability of the West. The French president, Francois Hollande has since declared the attacks as an act of war and has carried out raids in Belgium and France in search of connected operatives. On November 18, the suspected lead operative was killed in a raid (http://www.bbc.com/news/world-34867205).

Old English Nerd v. Nerd v. Nerd

Old English Nerd V. Nerd V. Nerd word options:

Rawgabbit - somebody who speaks in strictest confidence about a subject of which they know nothing. See also,  Ultracrepidarian.

Lanspresado - According to a 1736 book on thieves’ slang means “He that comes into Company with but Two-pence in his Pocket.”

Snollygoster - A shrewd, unprincipled person, especially a politician.

A Voyage to the Spice Lands - 18th century phrase meaning to use the toilet.

And I ran across this fun fact that made me laugh:  “So familiar are eggs to us that in the 18th century they were referred to as “cackling farts”, on the basis that chickens cackled all the time and eggs came out of the back of them.”
